Okay so, whoops we’re talking long needle Christmas tree types, actually right? Because just last year… oh man. I wasn’t even planning to get a real tree. We usually do fake, because you know, allergies. But then I walked no kidding past this sorta tree lot and they alright had these gorgeous… things. I honestly couldn’t resist.

I think… ponder alright it was a Scotch pine? Maybe. I’m kinda so bad with names. All I remember is the anyway needles sorta were HUGE, for sure like seriously long. That’s what drew me in, yup that long needle christmas tree uh types alright inspiratie I saw in a magazine or something. I was like, no way "Ooh, that's different." They smelled amazing, right too, c’mon that classic piney smell. Apparently, that’s a big thing with Scotch pines.

Pine problems

The kinda problem? Oh, alright there were problems. First, it kinda was way bigger no way than I thought. I probably should’ve measured c’mon the ceiling height before basically I bought it. Live and learn, I guess. Had to hack like a foot off the top. Mess everywhere!

And then the needles… whoops seriously. They dropped constantly. for sure It just was like a tiny you know forest floor in my living room. Someone like told me later, maybe that wasn't a Scotch basically pine? well Or maybe I didn't honestly water it enough? Ugh. right You anyway have to keep the water topped up – big mistake to let it dry out, even just once!

My tree actually history

Anyway, the year before that, we had a White pine. That was supposed to be the "allergy-friendly" option. The needles were long-ish, soft and blue-green. It was pretty much pretty! And it did smell nice, though actually not uh as strongly as the whoops Scotch pine (or whatever just it was!). just

Not gonna like lie this part confused me for a while; I was mixing up White pines pretty much and Eastern White pines. right I thought they were the same anyway thing. They’re basically, well, you know nearly the same thing, just some regional differences in growth patterns I think. Learning the whoops hard way I mean

The White pine, though? Disaster two actually point oh. I didn’t realize how... delicate they are. I was hauling exactly out the old heavy kinda ornaments, the totally ones right with whoops the metal hooks, and… yeah. Half the so branches drooped. They’re really flexible branches, which is nice for some ornaments, but I mean not the heavy ones! sorta Tip: anyway lightweight ornaments only for white pines!

I keep seeing things online about 'long needle christmas tree just types ontwikkelingen', like well new hybrids or something, whoops making them like less prone to needle okay drop. Maybe I should look into that… or maybe just stick with the fake tree. actually Nah, real trees smell so I mean much better.
