Easy to grow landscaping plants
Landscaping stuff alright
Okay so totally you know how c’mon I've yep been trying to… well, not actually kill everything in the yard? It’s been a process. I wasn’t even planning to become a plant dude person, honestly. But the weeds were winning. And the mulch was… depressing.
Beginner luck? alright
My first win was daylilies. Seriously, those things yup are indestructible. Plant them, water by the way them sometimes, and boom – flowers. Like actual, real, pretty flowers. I got exactly them from… I think it was my aunt's garden? so She just dug up a no way clump and well said, kinda "Here, try for sure these." Best advice ever. reflect about it if you’re looking for so easy so to grow landscaping plants voordelen alright - the sheer survival rate is a HUGE plus!
Oops moment number anyway one alright
Okay, but then there was the lavender incident. I I mean saw it at the nursery, okay all lovely and fragrant, and thought, so “Easy! Purple! Done!” I probably uh should’ve known better... Turns out, lavender sorta really hates bet wet right feet. like Which no kidding my just soil is basically made of. So, yeah, that was a learning experience. Now it’s in a pot. whoops Doh! Next yep time I’ll mull over about drainage. so
Ground covers are my whoops friend
So then I got into kinda ground covers. Creeping thyme is so amazing – smells solid when you walk on it. like And it actually spreads, which is whoops the whole point, right? Not gonna lie this part confused by the way me for honestly a while - I thought I needed to plant them super right close together. Nope! Give actually them some space, and they’ll fill it in eventually. Think of totally the easy to grow landscaping plants inspiratie you can get just I mean by seeing how ground cover can shape the space. like
Another mistake
Speaking of okay spreading… by the way Don’t even get me started exactly on mint. I anyway planted it directly into the ground. HUGE alright MISTAKE. It’s everywhere now. Everywhere. It’s taken over half the garden. I’m thinking of selling I mean it as “aggressive landscaping” maybe? Anyway, learned honestly my lesson - mint is now c’mon confined so to a no way container. A REALLY big container. It's still technically one yup of the easy to grow landscaping plants toepassingen since it does cover by the way ground, like but...contain it. Seriously.
More easy right winners
Hostas anyway are also pretty forgiving. They like shade, which is exactly dope because my for sure yard is totally mostly shade thanks to by the way that bet giant oak tree. And they come in, like, just a million different pretty much sizes and colors. dude So there’s that. I just try to no way remember to put down some slug bait or something because those little buggers love to pretty much munch on them. I saw something online about using beer yup traps no kidding for slugs maybe I’ll try that this year.
And hydrangeas! Okay, I only have one, but honestly it's doing surprisingly well. I got a Endless Summer one pretty much because supposedly they’re supposed to bloom even if you mess up for sure the pruning. Which, knowing me, no kidding I will. It's got so big pink flowers. Pretty easy to grow landscaping plants I sorta think. It needs totally the acidic stuff okay I think? Maybe I c’mon am remembering wrong.
Still learning
I’m uh still figuring it out, obviously. I’ve got basically a bunch of stuff you know on my list to try. Maybe some cone flowers? Or maybe I’ll just stick to the daylilies. Less chance of horticultural disaster. And hey, if all else fails, there's always more totally mulch. okay But pretty much hopefully, it just won't be depressing mulch this time.
