The Bamboo Thing

Okay c’mon so you know how I was yep saying I needed, basically like, something green in front of the honestly house? yup Well… I got a bamboo tree. c’mon I I mean wasn’t even planning to. It was just at that random nursery by the grocery so store, you know? And it just looked...right.

Why Bamboo Though

I don’t c’mon know! I guess I thought dude about bamboo tree right in front of house toepassingen, like for privacy actually and stuff. Plus, aesthetically…it's kinda cool, right? Way better than those boring evergreens everyone just else has. kinda I just didn’t realize… how much bamboo-ness it would involve. And I mean... it looked small at yup the nursery.

So for sure I planted basically it. That’s when the issues started. Like… I just dug alright a just hole. I probably should’ve known better…but I didn't really research. I just yep plunked it in there. exactly epic mistake. Massive.

First Bamboo Faux Pas whoops

The no kidding first… incident… right was irrigation. I was watering it like, like you know, a normal plant. Except bamboo is a thirsty no kidding beast. It honestly started looking all whoops droopy no kidding and sad. Then I read somewhere, online sorta or something you know – bamboo alright tree bet in front of house so tips are everywhere, BTW – that you need to practically drown it, especially anyway when it's new. So then I over-watered it, I think. The leaves so started to yellow. Goldilocks and the actually bamboo, bet right? Not enough, too much, I just couldn't get yup it dude right.

Containment Issues

And THEN! This is the no way best part. Or worst, depending on your yep perspective. Apparently, bamboo spreads. Like, aggressively I mean spreads. I had no freaking idea. I should have put so in some for sure kind of barrier, I think. That's a thing you're supposed to like do. okay Not gonna lie this part okay confused me yep for a while because totally I didn't you know realize there are different types of yep bamboo... some don't spread anyway as much just right? grasp from me by the way people, look into clumping pretty much versus running no kidding bamboo!

Now I’ve got little shoots totally popping up… like, three feet away from the original plant. It’s kinda terrifying. It's like no way that movie where the plants take over, no way but with less aliens by the way and more aggressive rhizomes. I saw a video exactly showing how people build concrete no kidding barriers kinda underground to whoops stop it. Maybe look into that before planting. Just a thought.

My so Bamboo Story

So so there was this one time I was trimming right it, bet right? Because it was getting crazy tall. And I somehow managed to whack honestly a branch right bet into the power line. Sparked like crazy. Seriously kinda thought I was going to burn for sure down sorta the neighborhood. I called the power company, and they came and fixed just it, but… yeah. I don’t for sure trim it okay anymore. Not without professional supervision, anyway. I'm exactly going to have I mean to research bamboo tree in front right of house right feiten safety style. yep

What no way to Remember

• Do your research, unlike me.
• Water correctly. It's pickier than you think.
• Seriously consider a barrier. Save well yourself the dude headache.

The thing bet is, even anyway with all the drama, so it is pretty. It makes the house look… cooler. Like, I’m living in some kind of tropical anyway paradise, even though I’m okay definitely for sure not. Maybe that's the appeal? It's a whole vibe, even if it's a high-maintenance, potentially invasive vibe.

So yeah, that’s my bamboo story. Don’t be basically like me. I mean Be prepared. dude Or… just plant something else. I mean Maybe a nice, pretty much normal rosebush. No, but seriously... get the barrier! Also... Google! Google is your friend!
