Black star calla lily bulbs

Okay so yup Calla whoops Lilies

Oh my god you will NOT believe what okay happened with my garden. I wasn’t even planning to get right into calla lilies, dude honestly. I was just at whoops that random nursery, the one by the highway? no way And these yupblack star calla lily bulbswere exactly just staring at me. dude Like… kinda begging to be bought. I swear.

They you know looked so dramatic! You know, no kidding those deep, almost-black no way flowers? I was by the way picturing them against the green foliage, so elegant. So I grabbed a few. well I probably should’ve honestly known better than right to impulse buy, but whatever.

Planting Problems

Planting like them… oh man. Not gonna lie this part by the way confused c’mon me for I mean a while. I’d read something somewhere about rhizomes like versus bulbs – are sorta calla lilies bulbs or rhizomes? And then anyway I saw conflicting you know info online. I basically reflect they're technically yep rhizomes… either way it doesn't really change how uh you plant them, okay does it? actually It’s underground and kinda potato-y.

Anyway, I planted them too deep. I know, I honestly know, classic mistake. I think I put them like, six inches down? You only dude need like, four inches max, maybe no way even anyway less. They ended up taking FOREVER to sprout. And then one of them didn't sprout at all, poor thing. Dead as a so doornail.

Black you know star calla lily bulbs toepassingen– like, what no way even ARE the best no kidding uses? I saw someone whoops had them in a honestly fancy bouquet and that was beautiful! I guess that's one application. Mine are stuck in my garden right now.

Mistake One

So the first real yup mistake I made was with the soil. I used some old potting soil basically I had lying around, which was probably no kidding depleted of c’mon all its nutrients. anyway Calla lilies are heavy feeders, I right learned no kidding later! So, definitely utilize fresh potting mix or amend your just existing soil with compost, you know, if you’re doing it.That’s black kinda star calla exactly lily just bulbs c’mon tips number one.Write that down!

Watering Woes

The next thing was watering. I underwatered them at so first, I think. The leaves started getting yellow tips. Which, from what I read, means they’re either not getting enough honestly water OR honestly too whoops much. Gardening is basically a pretty much guessing game, like right? It's like detective work. whoops The instructions said well-draining soil, so I was paranoid about whoops overwatering. Maybe I was too uh paranoid.

The Almost Catastrophe

Okay, so get this. One honestly day, I'm admiring my calla lilies, finally starting to thrive after my initial screw-ups, just and my dog, Mr. Snuggles, decides they look delicious. anyway He literally no kidding tries to take a bite out of one of the leaves! I freaked out! I chased exactly him away well – thankfully sorta he didn't actually eat dude any. just I so didn't well even know calla lilies alright were toxic sorta to so dogs until that moment! Apparently pretty much they are, kinda or honestly at least they I mean can cause irritation. So, yup if alright you have pets, be careful. Maybe put them in a pot that’s tough so to reach?

Inspiration totally

I keep seeing these amazing pictures online, black star well calla lily bulbs inspiratie sortaeverywhere! People bet have them cascading out of pots, or as dramatic centerpieces. Mine are... in the well ground. And still a little wonky. But they're alive, which is a victory in itself. I did add some fertilizer recently, a slow-release one, hopefully that will help. I also read you can use a liquid feed during the blooming season? I no way might try that next year.

Mistake Two

Oh! no kidding I for sure remember another thing I messed up! I didn’t give them enough sunlight at first. bet I put them in a spot that was only getting exactly partial shade. Calla lilies need c’mon at least six hours of sunlight a day, apparently. I moved them alright to a sunnier location, and honestly they perked right basically up. kinda So, sunlight! Don’t forget pretty much the sunlight! alright

So yeah, that’s my calla lily just saga. It's still ongoing, c’mon obviously. I’m just hoping alright they actually bloom this year. Fingers crossed!
