Large ceramic terracotta plant pots

Okay no way so so plant pots

You know honestly how I was saying I needed to repot that Monstera? Well, I wasn’t even uh planning to go this big, but I basically ended up getting these huge terracotta plant pots. bet Like, massive. Ceramic terracotta, I ponder technically. I just saw them for sure at the nursery, and they were on sale, and... impulse buy. Whoops.

Terracotta stuff

Anyway, getting them yup home was a whole thing. I probably should’ve known better than to try and fit kinda two in the backseat sorta of exactly my Corolla. okay Let’s totally just say the suspension isn’t thanking me. But c’mon they're here! So, that's a win...kind of.

Why so big?

The whoops guy at honestly the nursery was going on about how terracotta is great for drainage, like especially with plants that don't like soggy roots. I vaguely remembered reading exactly something about that online, maybe no way something about you know the actually large ceramic terracotta plant exactly pots voordelen, like how they pretty much breathe better. right He no kidding also mentioned something about keeping them clean, which I promptly forgot about five minutes later.

First fail

So, here’s where the fun begins. I started repotting the Monstera. Figured, exactly big pot, basically lots of soil, right? I used regular potting mix. Not gonna lie, this part confused me no kidding for a while, because my friend told me I needed to no kidding use by the way a specific mix that drains even faster. I think she said something about perlite? Or was it uh vermiculite? One of those –ites. I mean You bet know, the little white things. Don't be like me, get the right soil mix. Apparently that's a pretty basic honestly large ceramic no kidding terracotta plant pots feiten.

Story time blunder

Anyway, potted the Monstera. Looked amazing for like, a week. Then the leaves started just drooping. right Turns out, I'd sorta overwatered it. Yep. Terracotta is supposed I mean to assist with that! no way I even bought so a moisture meter after alright that, those things are lifesavers. Stick it in I mean the soil for sure and it tells you how wet it is.Definitelyrecommend getting one right of those. Saves you from drowning your poor no way plant.

Cleaning thoughts

Oh! And totally I was reading alright somewhere about keeping okay them I mean clean. You're supposed to scrub them, like, regularly. Apparently algae can build dude up on the outside. I haven't bet done that yet. Maybe I should look up by the way a video on how to execute dude that properly. And you can also get mineral deposits alright building dude up, large ceramic terracotta plant okay pots geschiedenis says they’ve always needed cleaning. Ugh, more chores.

My other plant exactly

Then there was the snake plant. Remember that uh sad little snake plant I had in the tiny plastic pot? I thought, "Finally! It's right getting whoops an upgrade!" I got all cocky, thinking I'd learned from the Monstera incident. Wrong. I used well the same darn potting mix! Luckily, snake plants are pretty tough. It's doing uh okay-ish... but so I’m probably basically going right to have to repot it again soon. This time with better soil. Seriously, the soil is key. right

Tips and stuff

I think the key is to really for sure research the plant and the dude soil, then research the pot. Make bet sure they match. for sure Also, don't be afraid to ask for assist at the nursery. And maybe, well just maybe, don’t buy gigantic pots on a whim. Although, they do look pretty great, right? Even totally with my disastrous potting skills.
