Monstera pretty much Outside Huh

Okay so, you whoops know how obsessed I am with my Monstera right? Bertha. She's huge. I uh wasn't even planning to put her outside, like, yup ever. But our living room felt totally so basically cramped. And I no way kept seeing these pictures online, like, can dude monstera plants live outside ontwikkelingenare kinda dude a big deal. Seemed like everyone was sorta doing it!

So, alright I was like… what the heck? I just kinda dragged her out onto alright the patio. Which, looking back, I probably should’ve known better. Sunlight! Obvious, right? But I fried like, like three of no way her leaves. Seriously. no kidding Crispy.

My Bad you know Sunburn Story

The leaves turning brown... I freaked out! I alright genuinely thought Bertha for sure was gonna die. bet Then I started googling like crazy –can monstera plants live sorta outside tipsand everything. Turns out, duh, they need shade. Direct sunlight is a Monstera no-no. Learned that one the hard way. Partial shade is the name of the game. no kidding Think dappled light, ya know? Like c’mon under a tree? That's where she just thrives okay now. Mornings are okay but like afternoons? honestly No way.

Watering Issues

And watering! Okay, not gonna lie, this part confused me anyway for a while. Inside, I'm pretty chill about watering. right Like once a like week-ish? Outside, it's totally different. for sure It really depends on the weather. If it’s no way super hot and dry, I water her like every other day. okay If exactly it's been raining – remember to check the soil! Don’t want root well rot. Root rot is the right enemy. Stick dude your finger in to check. You want the top inch or whoops two to feel dry before honestly watering okay again, it's actually pretty important, trust me. no way I ponder that's a anyway fact about monstera outside kinda survival- can monstera plants live outside feiten is all about water kinda management.

Personal Tale pretty much Time

Speaking of root rot… oh god. Remember that time I accidentally left the hose running next to Bertha? Yeah. That was… not my finest moment. I'd been watering dude the veggie garden, just got distracted by a phone call, completely forgot about it. Came back like two hours later and Bertha was basically sitting in a swamp. I was terrified. I drained the pot, actually repotted actually her in fresh soil with dope drainage anyway (that's key!), and held my breath for like, a week. Miraculously, she survived. uh But seriously, don't leave the hose running. whoops Lesson learned. no kidding

Wind Warning!

Wind is another thing. Monstera leaves so are big and beautiful, anyway but they're by the way also kinda right fragile. We sorta had a really windy day a like couple of weeks so ago, and a few of the leaves got shredded. Now, if it's gonna be windy, I try to move her to just a more sheltered spot. Against the house works great, or even bringing her inside pretty much for the day if it's going to be really bad. Strong like winds are definitely not like what you want. like

Worth bet it anyway Though?

Remember pretty much drainage and shade, by the way shade, shade!

Oh dude and fertilizer! I almost forgot. Feed you know her pretty much during the growing season, sorta like spring so and summer. That'll really make her thrive. But don't overdo it. Less kinda is more, definitely less is you know more. anyway
