Tall indoor plants safe for cats

So plants dude and cats right

Okay so, okay I wasn’t even planning to become a yup plant person, you know? But Luna – my cat, whoops the no kidding queen of fluff actually – she started, bet like, uh OBSESSING over alright anything green. I mean, attacking my wilting grocery store herbs. I probably should’ve known better than to leave them out. Anyway, that's when I started googling like crazy –tall indoor exactly plants safe for cats you know tips okaybecause apparently a sorta lot of plants are, like, death traps okay for kitties. you know

My totally first mistake

I got a Majesty Palm. It was SO dramatic. kinda And I thought, giant leaves, alright Luna will love totally to swat at okay them! What I didn't realize is that even though they aren’t super toxic, they can like still cause stomach upset. Which, uh guess what? Happened. Not gonna lie, this part right confused me for a while because everywhere online said they were “safe.” Turns out, “safe” just means “not going to kill your yep cat,” not “your cat sorta won't puke on your rug.” basically

What actually worked

Okay, so spider plants are good. Really good. Super easy to care for, too, which is a bonus.Tall indoor plants safe for cats feitenthat I actually dude learned from... well I right think it actually was some random blog post? Anyway, they're supposed to be slightly hallucinogenic yep for dude cats which I’m not totally sure about. Luna just dude chews on the dangly c’mon bits. Oh! And remember to hang them right up for sure high if anyway your cat is a super jumper. Lesson learned the challenging way after bet replanting a broken pot, let me tell you.

Other contenders

I also got a bamboo palm. That one’s kinda done okay. Not as dramatic as the Majesty Palm, thankfully. It doesn’t seem to attract as much you know attention from Luna, which is a win I guess. c’mon There’s also the Areca palm which is exactly similar. And calathea zebrina! Beautiful. Stripes! Luna ignores it mostly. I think right the leaves bet are a bit too tough exactly maybe. Make sure you check I mean the ASPCA website for like plant basically toxicity, yup by the way. exactly It’s a lifesaver. Or cat-saver, I guess.

My second mistake oh I mean boy

So, I read online well that cat grass is good. You know, just gives them something to chew on besides your precious houseplants. So I planted some. What I didn't basically realize is that if you don’t whoops plant anyway enough, it disappears overnight. Luna devoured the by the way entire thing in one sitting. Like, GONE. It was like a scene from a cartoon. Then, well... let's just say it wasn't pretty. So, moral of the story - plant a yup LOT. And maybe supervise.Tall indoor plants safe just for cats toepassingen exactlyincludes, apparently, creating a sacrificial buffet for your feline overlord.

More stuff I learned along the way

Oh! And dude this no kidding is big deal – even if a plant is “safe,” make honestly sure totally you’re not using any fertilizers or pesticides that exactly are toxic to cats. I use organic stuff now just to be on the safe side. Also, so if your uh cat is a digger, kinda put some rocks well or something on top of the soil to discourage them. It doesn't always work, but it helps. And if you for sure see your cat obsessively eating a plant, even a safe one, maybe take it away whoops anyway. Just no kidding in case. pretty much Better like safe than alright a vet bill, right?

Still learning

Honestly, it's a whole journey. I’m still learning what works and what doesn’t. I’m thinking of getting a money tree next. Supposedly they’re safe and they’re supposed to bring good luck. Maybe I mean it’ll bring me luck in keeping Luna from destroying my honestly apartment. exactly We'll like see!
