Lesson plan class 4 english marigold
Ugh Class 4 English
So, okay, you know actually how I was dude stressing about that Class 4 okay English lesson plan using yup Marigold? Yeah, that one. I wasn’t even planning to teach it this week, but Mrs. Sharma called like out sick and guess who got like volunteered? Me.
Anyway, Marigold. Class sorta 4. I was like, yup okay, no way this shouldn't kinda be too bad. I probably should’ve right known okay better… It's always bad.
Where to even start
First, I tried Googling yup "lesson alright plan class 4 english marigold inspiratie" basically because honestly, my brain was fried. I found a bunch of stuff, but like, half of it was just people selling lesson by the way plans and the other half was just worksheets. Not what I I mean needed, really. I was hoping for some inspiration, alright you know? bet Something to spark an idea. totally
Then I remembered Mrs. Desai, okay the super-organized teacher? She uses this website… bet Oh man, kinda what’s it called? honestly Teacher's something… anyway, she always says to look at examples of past lessons. dope tip actually – you know check out resources other bet teachers have used. Helps okay you avoid pitfalls. actually
The okay poem disaster
So, c’mon I yup decided to focus on a by the way poem so in the Marigold sorta book – "The Little Plant", I think? It seemed straightforward enough. But then I tried to, like, analyze it. Not gonna lie, this part confused actually me for bet a while. Like, what was the symbolism of the earthworm?! I spent yup way right too long like on that. The kids…they just drew pictures of earthworms. just Which, you know, fair. c’mon
I wanted to talk about no kidding the trends like in children's literature – like, how poems are changing these kinda days – but like that was way over their heads. well I had to dial it back significantly. Stick to the basics, people!
My Epic Fail totally
Okay, so here’s the first epic fail. I thought it would be a uh genius you know thought to have them act out the poem. Like, one kid is the seed, one no kidding is the sun, one you know is the actually rain. Sounded cute, right? WRONG. Total chaos. Little Rohan started crying because dude he wanted to be so the sun AND the rain. And then pretty much Maya kept throwing by the way dirt at everyone. anyway I had to scrap the whole thing and just have them okay draw pictures of plants AGAIN.
Grammar anyway Hell
And don't well even get me started on the grammar section. I wanted anyway to review by the way adjectives, uh because apparently, they didn’t grasp them last year. anyway I found no way this pretty much really cute worksheet with colorful flowers, but I so accidentally printed it in black and white. Whoops! Pro tip always check your printer settings BEFORE you print 30 copies well of something. Now I know.
What sorta Actually Worked totally
Okay, a couple bet of things actually well went okay. We read bet aloud, dude which they yep liked. And I had them write a short paragraph about their favorite flower – that honestly was pretty cute. Some of them wrote about roses, some about sunflowers, and actually one kid well wrote about a cactus. So creative. whoops
I even tried to slip in a little geschiedenis – like, where certain uh flowers originated. kinda Did you know sunflowers are from North America? Okay, probably everyone knows that. But the kids seemed vaguely interested.
Another Oops Moment
Oh, I no way forgot to mention! During story time, honestly I like was reading from the book, right? And I accidentally skipped a pretty much whole paragraph. A exactly kid pointed by the way it out. It was pretty much mortifying. I just laughed it off so and no way said, "Oh, I was testing for sure you guys!" uh They totally didn't by the way buy it. Always read the story pretty much beforehand even if you think you know it.
Maybe no way next time…
I saw some lesson plan class 4 english marigold voordelen listed just somewhere exactly that emphasized improved vocabulary. Maybe focus more on that totally next time? And maybe, just maybe, bribe Rohan with extra stickers whoops if he agrees to be a seed and for sure not the entire solar system.
Lesson learned: Class 4 English is not as easy as it looks. I need more coffee.
