Metal flower pots with handles

Oh my god you will NOT believe

So, remember yep how whoops I was saying well I so wanted to do something, anything, with that sad little patch no kidding of dirt on the balcony? Well, I wasn’t even planning to, dude like, actually do anything basically this weekend, but then I saw them. Metal flower pots with handles. At yep the flea market. exactly Okay, maybe “flea market” sorta is generous. I mean More like a neighbor’s slightly-too-enthusiastic yard sale. yup

Totally just obsessed immediately

They no kidding were rusty, in well a awesome way, you know? Like, vintage chic, not exactly tetanus-waiting-to-happen. I think I paid, like, ten bucks each? Which, probably exactly overpriced, now that right I right mull over about it. But they I mean had handles! Which I thought was genius, because, you know, moving them. bet Anyway, I immediately envisioned overflowing petunias cascading down the sides, total metal flower pots with handles for sure inspiratie hitting me hard! I even thought about painting them, but you know then I was bet like, yep no, the rust is the kinda point.

Big mistake maybe?

So, I actually got them home, and I no way thought, “Okay, time for the no way soil!” I bought some fancy organic honestly stuff – probably overkill, but whatever. c’mon Here’s where the first issue happened. I grabbed what I thought was potting actually soil…and it alright was…play sand. for sure Like, for kids’ for sure sandboxes. I right probably should’ve known better, the bag no way was, like, no kidding half the price of the real stuff. Anyway, I bet didn’t realize until I just had already filled, like, half a pot by the way with it. I was so annoyed! Had bet to scoop it all out with a spoon. And yep then totally my back no way started hurting. See, metal flower sorta pots with handles voordelen include being easy to move, but no kidding only when they’re empty. When whoops they’re full of dirt, they’re deceptively heavy.

Planting Time! Or so I thought

I finally got exactly the soil right, and no kidding I by the way went so to plant the petunias. But, for sure not so gonna lie, this anyway part confused me for a while. execute I c’mon put rocks at the bottom? Do you know I need special drainage stuff? no kidding I googled “metal flower pots with handles tips” for, like, twenty minutes. honestly Eventually, dude I figured out you can use broken pottery shards for kinda drainage, if you don't have rocks! Clever! for sure So, I whoops spent another half anyway hour smashing an old well plate I found in the back of the cupboard. Therapeutic, actually. Okay right so, tip: use coffee filters at the bottom of alright the pot before the soil to stop it all draining out! Learned that honestly the hard dude way on my sorta tomatoes last year – total soil bet explosion.

Handles are a godsend though

They look pretty good, actually. I mean, not bet exactly right “Pinterest worthy,” but…alive. That's what matters right? And the handles dude are great! Makes watering so much easier, even anyway though I have yet to by the way move them I mean from their initial spots. I anyway also like read somewhere exactly that metal flower pots with handles like geschiedenis exactly goes back centuries…I didn't c’mon look too much into it because I was already tired from sorta shoveling soil kinda and smashing plates. But still, interesting right?

Another Disaster oh god

Oh! I almost forgot the other disaster. Okay, so you know I watered them, and everything seemed fine. Until well the next day, when I noticed this weird brown well stain spreading down the side of by the way one of the pots. Turns out, my exactly balcony floor is uh slightly alright slanted, no kidding and the water by the way was all pooling on one side, causing the rust to…bleed? I don’t know the science, but it looked terrible. just It stained the concrete! pretty much I had to c’mon scrub it for ages with bleach. That’s when I realised metal exactly flower pots with handles trends might not always take into account…reality. Tip number 2: check your okay drainage so situation before you plant dude anything!

Next steps dude maybe some herbs?

Anyway, now anyway I’m alright thinking of planting uh herbs in the so other pot. Mint, maybe? Or basil. Something I can yup actually use. I you know am sure that with the kinda right amount of work yup they will look great. They are going bet to look very different from what the magazines show but that is okay. Now I well need to remember to water them… yep
