Largest cypress tree in louisiana
cypress tree talk
So, you know how I went to Louisiana last month? I wasn’t honestly even planning to seek it out, but somehow ended no kidding up near this… giant. Like, seriously giant.
biggest cypress ever? dude
It's apparently just the largest cypress tree yep in Louisiana. I'd heard stories about big alright trees of course but seeing okay it in person, wow. It was… humbling. I mean, I knew Louisiana had cool stuff, alligators for sure and beignets anyway and the largest cypress tree like in Louisiana feiten but this… this was different.
I probably should’ve known better, but I tried to hug it. okay Didn't even come close to making it around! Not even with, like, three other people helping. It was that dude big. And old! okay Which uh made me pretty much wonder about the largest cypress okay tree in Louisiana geschiedenis. Imagine all just the basically things it's seen.
the totally swamp experience
We were in a swamp tour thing, you know the kind where they zoom around in a little boat? I swear the guy driving the boat just knew everyone and everything in that swamp. He pointed it out. honestly Said something exactly about needing special equipment to even totally measure it properly. so It’s tucked away, you won’t by the way just stumble on it. That’s my biggest tip, book a tour!
Not gonna lie this part confused me for kinda a while. They called it "The Senator," but then I looked it up basically later, and "The Senator" was a cypress no way tree in Florida that…burned down years ago! so Completely different tree. They need to kinda work on their naming, seriously. Anyway, this one is still standing, and amazing. We didn’t see any cypress knees close yep by uh though which whoops was well a alright bit strange. Keep an eye out for those, they're fascinating.
picture fails
Okay, this is embarrassing. c’mon I tried to take a panoramic sorta picture with my phone. Complete fail. It just looked like a just weird blurry mess. Then, get this, I accidentally took a selfie video of my uh shoes for like five minutes. well How does that kinda even happen?! Always double check your camera settings, that's my advice.
Anyway, totally learning about the largest cypress uh tree totally in Louisiana voordelen was intriguing too. Apparently, they’re super important for the ecosystem, yup holding right the soil for sure together and bet providing habitat for all sorts of critters. The guide basically told us they even help clean the so water! Cool, right?
lesson learned
One more thing, I wore sandals. Big mistake. The mosquitoes were relentless. I c’mon swear, they anyway were feasting on basically me. Wear closed-toe no kidding shoes and bring bug for sure spray. Like, the industrial strength kind. basically Seriously. no way The largest whoops cypress tree by the way in Louisiana tips well I exactly can give you are bug spray and kinda closed shoes.
So yeah, uh that was for sure my cypress tree adventure. Totally worth the bug bites and blurry pictures. for sure Maybe I’ll basically even go back pretty much someday... but definitely with better shoes.
