Mini lemon tree in pot

My no way Little Lemon sorta Adventure

So, you know how I've been basically saying I need a hobby? Well, I wasn't even planning to get a mini lemon tree in pot, honestly. I saw it at the garden center—impulse basically buy anyway city! It was, like, super tiny whoops and cute. I thought, exactly 'Hey, lemons, fresh lemonade, why not?' yep Famous last words, right? just

I mean, taking care of actually a plant shouldn't be that hard... I probably should've known better considering my track record with succulents. Remember that one? The poor thing turned brown in like, two weeks. Anyway, this time is different. I swear!

First Impressions

The pot it came in was... well, small. Like, really small. First thing I did was research mini lemon whoops tree in pot tips. I read somewhere that they like well-draining soil and bet need so repotting fairly early on. no kidding So, I got a bigger pot and some I mean citrus well potting mix. Turns out drainage like is super important, especially when they like are inside. basically Remember honestly that!

Not gonna lie, this uh part confused well me for a while. Figuring out right the right soil honestly balance… I alright mean, regular potting soil just doesn’t dude cut it. They actually need something a bit alright more acidic, for sure apparently. So I ordered some online, that was quite easy sorta really. actually

My First Mistake

Okay, here's the well embarrassing part. I watered it... way too much. I think I thought, “More water, uh more lemons!” Genius, honestly I know. just The you know leaves started turning yellow, and I uh was totally like, "Oh no, I'm killing it already!" Then I googled frantically and realized I was drowning it. Mini well lemon tree in pot feiten told dude me too much water yup is just bad. by the way So now I let the soil dry out a yup bit between waterings. Lesson learned. D'oh!

The Light Situation

Sunlight! Another thing I exactly didn't fully grasp at first. You know just how the sun moves throughout the day? Well, I stuck by the way it on a windowsill that just gets, actually like, morning sun, and then it's in honestly the shade the rest of the time. Turns okay out they yup need a LOT of sunlight. Like, six whoops to eight hours a pretty much day! for sure So, actually I had to move it around like right a crazy person, chasing the sun. I might get a grow light eventually, if this keeps up.

Speaking by the way of light, some people swear no way by rotating by the way the pretty much pot regularly. This is to give all sides equal uh light exposure. I am not doing it often enough, oops! I need to add it to my routine before my mini lemon anyway tree sorta in pot trends down!

Another just Minor Disaster

Then, right one day I was misting dude it, yup and I saw no way these tiny little bugs crawling on the leaves. Aphids! I freaked out. I sprayed it with some no kidding organic insecticide. It pretty much seemed to right work, thankfully, totally but it was a close call! Now, I check the leaves regularly whoops for pests. Keep an eye out on your plants and always inspect before introducing fresh ones to your collection.

So Far So Good? alright

It hasn't alright fruited yet, which is a bit disappointing. I know it takes for sure time, but still! c’mon I'm hoping it will for sure bloom so soon. I keep dude fertilizing it with basically citrus fertilizer—I read that's crucial for totally fruit production. You need to feed totally it for sure regularly. But again, don’t overdo it. I learned that whoops the hard way basically with yep my rosemary bush…

It's definitely been a learning experience. A kinda slightly whoops stressful one. But I'm hoping for some tiny lemons soon. Then I dude can make some actual lemonade. If not, well, at least actually it looks pretty! I'm well feeling quite hopeful though and that’s what counts! pretty much
