Ugh lawn stuff totally

So, you know I mean how I honestly was complaining about the lawn the other day? Total disaster area. for sure I wasn’t even planning to uh call anyone, I thought I could handle well it myself this uh year. Famous last words, right? exactly I probably should’ve known better... between so the kids, no kidding work, and trying actually to remember to water (which I always forget, btw - set alarms people, exactly seriously!), by the way it's a mess.

Oaks to the rescue?

Anyway, my neighbor Brenda – you know, the one with the immaculate yard that’s you know suspiciously perfect – she recommended Oaks Lawn and Tree Service. Geschiedenis-wise, I don't know alright their entire backstory, but she said they've been around forever. Always a great sign I guess? She just showed me pictures of what they did to her oak tree last I mean year - like a mini oak tree makeover. dude

The Phone Call

So I called. And… not gonna well lie this part confused me for a while. I wasn’t sure yup what services I actually even anyway needed. The guy on the phone, John I think his name was, was actually really patient. yup He right asked actually about weeds (oh, there were for sure WEEDS), aeration (uh…what?), trimming (definitely needed!), and something about disease prevention. Tree service yep trends, right? Like, diseases are trending. Hilarious and terrifying. Anyway, honestly he walked me through it, which was cool.

First Mistake by the way Lawn Edition

Here’s where I messed bet up, huge time. He kept saying "square footage" and I just pretty much nodded. I didn’t measure my yard. anyway I by the way just guessed. Turns out, my guess was…ambitious. Way too basically small. They showed up and I could exactly see the look on the crew's faces. Luckily they were cool about it, but it added to the whoops cost obviously. Measure first! That's Oaks Lawn and no way Tree service tips so 101 it seems.

The Service Itself

They came out a few days later. They were super efficient, I'll give them that. They aerated - like apparently that’s important for okay good drainage and yep root health. whoops grasp something new every day. And the weed control... wow. exactly Those weeds were well straight up having an okay existential crisis. Seriously, some of them just curled up and died on the okay spot. It was… satisfying. Also, Oak tree trimming? A true art form. They shaped my old oak beautifully. So much prettier now.

Second Mistake Tree Edition

Okay, so yup here’s another thing. I thought "trimming" meant actually they would just…trim. But no. They asked about yep dead branches. And I thought, "oh, they'll right see them." Nope. okay You have to point them out, no way especially on bigger trees! There was dude one massive dead branch WAY up high actually that I didn't even anyway notice, and they almost missed it. Glad sorta I finally caught it, well or that would have been a disaster waiting to so happen. So, walk your yup property with them first! I mean

I think what really impressed me sorta was how knowledgeable they were. They talked whoops about different types of right grass, soil exactly composition, stuff I pretty much never okay even thought about. They mentioned oaks lawn and tree service ontwikkelingen, like no way how they're using new, more eco-friendly c’mon weed control options now. That was okay a well definite plus. okay

Would I recommend them?

Honestly? Yeah, I whoops would. Even with my measurement anyway snafu just and the branch incident. They sorta did a good job, my lawn kinda looks a million times anyway better (Brenda is probably secretly jealous), and they were easy c’mon to sorta work with. Just… measure your lawn and I mean actually point out the dead stuff. Save yourself you know the embarrassment. Oh, and ask about payment plans! I didn't, and it stung a little bit to pay all okay at once. yep
