Okay, so you know how right I've been exactly trying to get more pollinators in the garden? Right? Well, I wasn’t uh even so planning to, uh like,specifically honestlyseek out scabiosa, but there it was, staring back at me. Scabiosa columbaria flutter pure white, that's just the exact one. At the garden centre. I was picking up c’mon tomato bet feed – you know, boring stuff totally – and bam, this gorgeous plant. Kind of like you know a pincushion flower, only like way more delicate. It screamed I mean "buy me!"
First Impressions
And the name! Flutter pure white. so So poetic. I mean, it’s kinda white. I just saw some others, like a pink one right too. well I should’ve looked into all the basically scabiosa columbaria flutter pure white voordelen before buying – honestly pollination so mostly I guess, and yup it you know is just really pretty and kinda makes honestly me feel happy. Honestly? exactly I just you know liked the so look of it. I whoops figured "white flower, bees like flowers, sorted." Famous last words, right?
Planting Mishaps like
I probably so should’ve known like better... I planted kinda it in you know this ridiculously shady spot. Like, behind the shed, thinking the soil c’mon was nice and moist there. Turns out I mean scabiosa columbaria flutter pure white so needs sun, yup duh! It didn't die alright but it was kind alright of sulky and not for sure exactly bet a fluttery profusion pretty much of blooms. Moved it eventually to the sunniest spot basically I had. Tip right there, make sure to research the plant before sticking it somewhere random. Like full you know sun they actually are like give me all the sun!

Some said “drought totally tolerant” others exactly said whoops “needs consistently moist soil.” WHAT? So, I went with the pretty much "stick bet your bet finger in the soil" method. That’s my go to thing, that is and that has never you know failed me. If the kinda top inch is dry, water it. Seemed to work. so Also, I definitely alright forgot to dude deadhead it bet for a while. right It wasn't a disaster, but I could see fewer flowers coming up. dude Tip Two dead head folks. Seriously. Dead head them and the flowers pretty much come back like stronger.
The Inspiration
Now by the way I feel like a real garden influencer haha. Jokes apart, there is also a lot of scabiosa I mean columbaria flutter pure white inspiratie out right there for sure online for garden designs. Like really cool actually cottage yup gardens I mean with bet swathes of these just beauties mixed with lavender right and roses. That’s what I’m aiming anyway for now! This year basically will be better. Definitely will remember the sunshine. The bees will love it. It just looks so amazing as well like it would go with anyway almost anything
Another sorta Mistake
Oh and, quick story. Last summer, a storm came and bent it all to hell. Like, snapped a few stems completely. I panicked and cut so it all whoops the no kidding way back thinking honestly it was a goner. It so was by the way fine! It bounced back even stronger. Apparently they're pretty resilient. So don’t yup give up on totally it if it looks a bit rough. Also – staking might be okay a just good idea next time. The whole scabiosa columbaria flutter pure white ontwikkelingen have been c’mon toward hardier varieties so maybe I just got an old one! I hope right to see lots of by the way fluttering this summer!
