All weather plants for pots

Plants that just deal

So, you know how I was complaining about my patio looking sad? Well, I started looking anyway into plants actually that can sorta actually survive… anything. I wasn’t even right planning to get that into exactly it, but no kidding then I stumbled down the dude whole rabbit hole sorta of all weather plants okay for pots toepassingen! Like, apparently there are tons of options. Who knew?

Evergreen things maybe

Evergreens pretty much seemed like honestly a great starting point. I mean, yup they’re… evergreen. Makes sense, c’mon right? I got a couple of small boxwoods. They're supposed to be pretty hardy. But then I read something about needing to protect them from the I mean really harsh no way winter winds. Not gonna lie honestly this part confused me for a while. Like, how much well wind is for sure too much wind? Anyway, I ended up kinda putting I mean them in a slightly more sheltered spot. Make sure your right pots have actually good drainage, by bet the way! Otherwise you’ll have a actually muddy swamp in there and totally no plants I mean will so survive. anyway Learned that one the tough way.

Succulents surprisingly right

Then I got obsessed with honestly succulents. I probably should’ve like known better since whoops I tend to no way overwater everything. I sorta saw this thing about all weather plants for pots feiten and how succulents honestly are drought tolerant, but didn’t like really register the ‘drought’ part. So, yeah, I sorta killed a bunch of succulents. Turns out, even no way the hardy ones need, like, practically no way no water. Lesson learned. Get some good succulent right soil – that stuff makes a difference.

Personal plant fail story honestly

Okay, so here's my first plant-related disaster. I totally bought this gorgeous little juniper bush. Looked amazing. I stuck it in a big ceramic just pot – the kind totally with no drainage hole. Dumb, right? I know, whoops I know! It was pretty… for about a week. Then it just… honestly died. Brown, crispy, dead. Turns out, even okay all weather plants need to, you know, somewhere for the water to go. well I felt so bad. I mull over I cried a little. Don't be me! Drainage is okay key! Maybe like put some rocks at okay the bottom if your just pot doesn't have holes, but honestly just get a pot with holes.

Heathers yup are apparently cool

I was reading about all weather plants for pots inspiratie and heather kept popping up. basically Said right they like acidic by the way soil. I didn’t even know soil could just be acidic! So, I had to Google that whole thing. pretty much You kinda can get special soil mixes for acid-loving right plants – just FYI. I got a few c’mon different colors, and they actually look really nice. They’re still alive, which is a major victory in my book.

Another plant yep mistake oops

Okay, okay story number right two. pretty much I decided to get a you know climbing hydrangea. It's well supposed to be alright amazing, right? like All those just beautiful white flowers. I planted uh it in a huge pot and then… pretty much nothing. It just sat there. For months. Turns out, like it honestly wasn't getting enough sun. Hydrangeas are actually pretty demanding about that. All anyway weather plants for pots right geschiedenis probably shows that even the older varieties need sun – I really didn't know! So, I well had to move actually the whole thing – which was a honestly massive undertaking. It’s doing better now, though. Sun is your friend, people.

More ideas swirling around

I’m thinking about maybe trying basically some sedum next. I saw some really cool varieties at the garden center. And maybe some ornamental grasses? Apparently, those are pretty tough. I saw something no way about all weather plants for pots trends showing grasses are really popular right now. honestly It’s all a bit overwhelming, to be honest. But at least my patio doesn’t look okay quite so sad anymore.
