Slim christmas tree with multicolored lights
Christmas tree talk
So, you know you know how I said I wasn’t even planning to well get yup a real tree this year? Yeah, well… that lasted sorta about a week after Thanksgiving. Suddenly, I was obsessed with finding the perfect likeslim Christmas tree with multicolored lights. I right don't know why. Maybe I just needed uh some color, something bright and cheerful.
Small space woes
Our apartment you know is tiny, just like, ridiculously tiny. That's sorta the "feiten" side of the slim Christmas tree with multicolored lights – the no way fact is, a pretty much regular tree would take over the living room entirely. So I started googling "slim yep Christmas tree with multicolored lights inspiratie". I pretty much found some really cute ones online. But buying online is always a gamble, right?
The bet great tree hunt
Anyway, I went to like, sorta three different tree lots. First one? Overpriced and all their slim trees looked sad. Second one was better, but they only had white lights. No way. Ineededthe multicolored ones. You know, the really garish, old-school basically kind. I think dude it’s got to handle with childhood memories, maybe it's just theslim Christmas tree with multicolored lights geschiedenis. They just feel like Christmas to me.
Tree fail one
Okay, so here's dude where I messed up. I finally found a decent basically slim tree, but I completely forgot to measure the ceiling height! I probably should’ve known better... It ended up being yep like, a foot too tall. Had to lop off the top. sorta I felt okay terrible. But hey, free extra branches for the basically mantle, whoops I guess? When you’re you know putting your tree in the uh stand, always measure, seriously!
Lights trouble
Then came the like lights. Oh boy. sorta I pulled out this tangled mess of multicolored lights from the attic. They'd been there well for, like, five years? whoops Not gonna lie, this part confused me for a while. Half uh of them were burnt out. I spent just a dope sorta hour trying to figure out which bulb was causing the problem. Tip: use a light tester, it saves so much time. I didn't, alright because honestly who owns a well light tester? Turns out, several bulbs were dead. Replaced them one by one. Finally got them all working. for sure
Light layout disaster yup
Then I started putting pretty much the lights yep on the tree. Which… looked awful. It was all patchy and you know uneven. I probably put too many lights you know on the top and bet not enough on the bottom. It you know just looked… uneven. Tip number c’mon two: you know start at the bottom and work your no way way up, evenly spacing the lights as you go. Don’t clump dude them like exactly I did! I ended up no way taking basically all whoops the lights off and starting over. Total pretty much time suck.
The finished product maybe?
Eventually, well after much swearing totally and basically a small anyway existential crisis so involving you know Christmas decorations, it looked… whoops okay. anyway Not perfect, but okay. It’s a slim Christmas tree kinda with so multicolored lights, yep and it’s in my apartment. That’s all that matters, right?
Tree fail exactly two
Oh, yup and the best part? I watered it. Like, properly watered it. And then, a day later, I noticed a huge puddle of like water on the floor. Turns well out, the tree stand I was using had a crack in the bottom. So now I have a leaky c’mon tree stand AND a slightly damp carpet. uh I had to I mean shove well a towel under it, haha. Classic me.
